Being An Artist Is Tough

I tried and tried to get a deeper meaning of abstract paintings but found no pros except one: earning profits. I watched several videos, read several articles to find the true meaning behind it but I never found one.

Hi, I’m an aspiring artist or should I say an artist who has no idea what to paint. I started painting when I was 12. Art for me was just a hobby till I was confident enough to understand that I’m good in it. Eventually, when I had the confidence to show the world that I can pour much more meaningful art on canvas, I had no inspiration. I started to search for a path which is for me but found none. Maybe, I wasn’t searching for art but for profit. Ultimately, I settled for realistic paintings. I thought this will give me my identity as an artist. Sadly, it was not for me. I was not painting because I wanted to I was doing it for people.

Being an artist can be frustrating sometimes. But now I know, art is not meant to be for people but it is meant to be what you want to represent people about you. Be it your feelings, thoughts, or a simple sound of pouring rain.

I’m an artist and I paint what I feel. Charcoal on a sad day or abstract painting on vivid day. Outer space on muddled days and blank canvas on holidays. Paint for yourself, not for people.
